Plan Your Class Schedule
We have listed our teacher training schedule in detail to May of 2028. Plan your entire schedule in our program.
Phases of the Teacher Training Program
Phase One: Pre-Pilates Coursework
This foundational phase introduces you to "Pilates eyes"—learning to spot misalignment, conduct new student consultations, and master all Pre-Pilates exercises. You will be introduced to apparatus including the Cadillac, Pilates Pole, Mat, and Reformer.
Phase Two: Basic Coursework
In this major level, you will learn all Basic exercises on all 12 major pieces of equipment (Cadillac, Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, etc.). You will dive deep into human anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, and Bioenergetics, which are key to effective training. During this phase, you will begin training 3 to 7 practice clients through the Pre-Pilates, Basic, and into Intermediate One and Two systems.
Phase Three: Intermediate One Coursework
You will continue learning low-intermediate exercises on all equipment and auxiliary gear. The exciting part is you will start to teach your own classes as the Sole Lead Teacher. We will also dive into deeper concepts of exercise physiology, motor learning, and structuring classes for measurable student progression. You will dedicate time to writing a significant student-written research paper (approx. 15% of your grade) on a Pilates concept or interdisciplinary topic, required for certification.
Phase Four: High Intermediate and Comprehensive Certification Exam
This final phase generally takes 3 to 6 months and is broken into two sections. The first focuses on learning the Intermediate Two exercises and mastering how to smoothly progress a student through the Intermediate to High Intermediate systems, preparing them for the Advanced coursework.
